Import Restrictions
Senders should determine import restrictions from the country's authorities before posting:
animal and animal products
cereals
cigars and cigarettes
coffee and tea
fruit and vegetables
live fish
medicines
milk and butter
potatoes
plants and parts of plants
rice
sugar
samples of spirits over 0.57 litres
video tapes
weapons.
Tobacco
Fiji admits up to 10 kg of tobacco or tobacco products if no other goods are in the same article.
Animal and animal products
Imports containing animal and animal products require a permit from the Agricultural Department.
Plants and plant products
Imports containing plant and plant products require a permit from the Ministry of Primary Industries.
Narcotics
Imports containing narcotics, or drugs require a permit from the Ministry of Health.
Personal Use
Goods for the personal use of the addresse of a value not exceeding $10 Fijian are admitted free of duty. More than one parcel for the same addresse may be treated as a single parcel and assessed for duties accordingly.

In addition to items considered non-mailable matter, the following are prohibited:

natural or cultured pearls

printed books, newspapers, pictures and other products of the - printing industry

Shipments with items of extraordinary value (antiques, fine artwork, jewellery) are prohibited if from Hong Kong.

Documentation Required
Information regarding Customs can be found in "Customs Requirements" of the Canada Postal Guide.
The sender must indicate the telephone number of the addressee in the address field on postal parcels and on accompanying documents.
In addition, parcels containing commercial goods mailed to Fiji for trade must be accompanied by a certified invoice (original or copy) written in English or French. This invoice must be folded and attached to the parcel, never enclosed within the parcel.
